Before applying for the exam, all aspirants need to meet the SBI PO eligibility criteria. Eligibility Criteria of SBI PO 2020 based on Education Qualification and Age limit are given below:
SBI PO Educational Qualification
Applicants need to have a minimum of Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the central Government.
Students in the final year/semester can also apply but they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2020.
Candidates possessing Chartered Accountant will also be eligible.
SBI PO Age Limit
Candidates aged between 21 and 30 can apply. Age relaxation for the candidates of various categories, which are mentioned below.
Nationality criteria for SBI PO
The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
Candidates who have already appeared for the utmost number of permissible chances are not eligible to apply.
Appearing in a preliminary exam won't be counted as an opportunity.
The SBI PO Selection Process includes the following three stages :
To be shortlisted, candidates must pass each examination and enter the subsequent stage. The ultimate selection will be based on merit.
The recruitment process involves three phases i.e. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Group Exercise & Interview.
The exam pattern of SBI PO 2020 is as follows.
Phase - I : Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination is an online exam consisting of 100 objective type questions and each question carries 1 mark.
A mark of 0.25 is deducted for every wrong answer.
The exam will consist of 3 sections namely Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language.
There will be no sectional cut-off.
The overall score of all the sections is going to be considered for selection to the subsequent round.
This exam is of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections(with separate timings for each section) as follows:
Phase-II: Main Examination:
The Main Examination will contain Objective Test and Descriptive Test for 200 and 50 marks respectively.
Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be held online.
Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for a total of 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for each section.
Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of half-hour duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).
Phase-III: Group Exercises & Interview :
Candidates qualifying in the objective and descriptive test will be called for a group exercise & interview.
The Group Exercises will be conducted for 20 marks and interview for 30 marks.
Candidates qualifying for Group Exercises & Interview under the 'OBC' category would be required to submit an OBC certificate containing the 'Non - Creamy layer' clause.
Final Selection
For preparing the final merit list, marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Group Exercises & Interview (Phase-III).
The applicants would need to qualify separately for both Phase-II and Phase-III.
Marks secured by the candidates in the Main Examination (out of 250) are converted to out of 75 marks and Group Exercises & Interview scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks.
Upon aggregation of (out of 100) converted Main Examination and Group Exercises & Interview marks, the final merit list is reached.
