Ratheesh C. Nair

Ratheesh C. Nair, a native of Trivandrum had his education in Trivandrum and Russia (former USSR). Since 2000 he has been working as the Director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (Russian Cultural Centre) in Trivadnrum which is functioning under the Cultural Department of the Russian Embassy. He was appointed as the Honorary Consul by the government of Russia in 2008 and was recognised by the President of India on 28th day of May 2008. So far Ratheesh C. Nair received 5 medals including the prestigious Pushkin Medal from the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ratheesh C. Nair is the editor of Novaya Vesna – The New Spring; a quarterly magazine dedicated to Indo-Russian relationship. He also writes columns in leading periodicals and produced the movie ‘Jeevan Mashai’ based on Tarasankar Banarjee’s Arogya Niketan.

Lot of girls are pursuing B.Tech Civil engineering programme. It is ideal for girls also. Moreover lot of opportunities exist in construction and infrastructure sectors in India and abroad.
Sir i have applied for Msc physical oceanography, Msc disaster management, Msc remote sensing and GIS in KUFOS . Can u please tell me which of them have good future opportunities or job opportunities and what are they?

Remote sensing and disaster management are some of the potential sectors for academic, consultancy and research positions.
sir, I completed my BSc in physics.I had math and computer science as my complementary courses.I am interested in data science.Can you suggest what should be my next step to pursue a degree in data science.Can you suggest best universities/colleges offering this degree. Is it a good career option, considering the fact that I am a physics graduate.

Surely you can do MS in data science or MBA in Data manage since you completed Physics with Computer Science as a minor. Manipal University, BITS Pilani, Amrita University and IITs offer data science PG programs. You can alo try for Graduate programmes abroad.

You can choose courses based on your interest and aptitude. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Social sciences have lot of opportunities in EU countries

It is a good programme for getting jobs in Shipping sector within the country and abroad. CUSAT is offering B.Tech in Ship building and Naval Architecture

Biotechnology is a good option if you are interested to pursue research in pioneering Indian institutions or abroad. Research options are more in USA, UK, Canada, NZ and Australia.

Veterinary Science has lot of opportunities than B.Sc Agriculture or Forestry courses. Now a days students prefer BVSc &AH course over Agriculture courses. Those who completed the courses can try for opportunities within India or abroad. Lot of higher opportunities exist in this sector.

You can try for Australia, Canada or New Zealand for MS programme. Try to enroll for integrated research programmes abroad and try to acquire academic positions

Metallurgy has got lot of research potential. Metallurgist can work in research labs, rolling mills, foundries, metal extracting plant, Automobile industry, etc in India and abroad.
