Sir, I am currently pursuing B.A. English degree at Mahe (U.T. of Pondicherry). Although Mahe isn't a part of Kerala, it is located in Kerala and students from Kerala study in Mahe and vice versa. I would like to study for M.A. in any good government or aided colleges in Kerala. The status of being a non-Kerala applicant reduced my chances of getting a U.G. seat although I had good marks in Higher Secondary. What is the general advice to prepare for P.G. entrance exams conducted by the Universities in Kerala and will the non-Keralite status affect the chances of getting an admission in Kerala in P.G. programmes as well?

Non Keralite option won't hinter your admission prospects in Kerala. You can also try for admission at Central University or Deemed universities through common entrance test.

There is wide difference between BSc Agriculture and B.Tech agriculture. BSc Agriculture as a pure science focuses on different disciplines of agriculture in the areas of production, procurement, technology, processing, etc. B.Tech focuses on Agriculture engineering, machineries, food engineering, techno, etc. Those who studied at Plus 2 level can join for B.Tech programme through KEAM entrance exam.
