Physics for Class XI-Trial

About the course

For a long time, people have always been acutely aware of the regularities in nature – such as the sun rise, the appearance of rainbow after a rain, the change of seasons, ocean tides roll in and out. The curiosity to formulate all these phenomenon lead to the origin of Physics. Ancient Greeks were considered to be the founders of early physics, as they were keen to have a better understanding of the natural world around them.

The term Physics is a Greek word which means "knowledge of nature". It is often considered as the most fundamental of all the natural sciences and its theories are crucial in understanding the world around us, the world inside us, and the world beyond us.

Despite being a fascinating subject, it has the reputation of being difficult compared to other sciences. This is because, the concepts of physics have to be observed rather than being taught. Physics gives you a new appreciation of the world around you. You can look at a patch of blue sky and say "Wow, The sky is clear!", or you can marvel at the amazing scattering of blue light, as it travels through the atmosphere. Now that's awe!

This module aims to inspire young people to expand the frontiers of their knowledge about Nature. The contents are written in a comprehensive style, blended with neat figures and relevant explanations.
