After securing First Rank in B.A from Manipur University and Second Rank in M.A. English Language & Literature from Kerala University he joined as Lecturer in English at St.George’s College Aruvithura in 1983. He established the first T.V. Channel owned by a college (SGC T.V.), the first of its kind in India at St.George’s College. He was the Director of Placement Cell of the college for over 20 years. On retiring from College as the HOD of English in 2014 he joined Civil Services Institute Pala as Academic Counsellor because of his passion for competitive examinations from his college days. He was considerably strengthened in this by his experience of having attended the interview conducted by UPSC for the Civil Services Examination in 1985. He is one of the four founder directors of Career Heights Institute, Pala, which focuses totally on exams conducted by SSC. This institute has helped hundreds of students to secure Central Government jobs, including that of Sri.
